Principal Area of Educational Competence #1: Theoretical Knowledge

Knowledge of Theory includes a demonstration of "a broad and in-depth familiarity with/and critical understanding of, prominent social, scientific and educational theories and applications within educational studies" (PhD Handbook, p. 18).
Key opportunities to increase my knowledge of theory over the past 15 months included:
1) Theory Paper for ED 7034 entitled Therapeutic resonance across the miles: An examination of distance counselling through the lens of theory exploration – a PhD student’s quest to commit.

2) Theory Paper for ED 7040 entitled The physics of research: Stories of length, width, height, time, and multiple realities.

For my 1st Artifact, I have chosen my revised paper for ED 7034 as I have submitted it for publication in The Journal of Career Development and have received feedback from the peer review process. Final edits are due by March 31, 2021.
